Planning a 6-week European road trip has so far involved almost no planning, except for getting Jess a passport and booking our ferry tickets (we leave on 11 July). But even we thought it would be beyond foolhardy to depart without the three of us spending at least one night in the van. We’ve now survived two nights (a random Peak District moorland jaunt and a Northumberland wedding), so we must be good to go…
